GENERAL PRUNING
Whether you are looking to ensure the safety of your property or bring light to your garden or home, I can help you meet your needs while always keeping the long term health of your trees in mind.

If you wish to enhance your view, I can create windows in the canopy so you can enjoy the view and keep the trees' integrity.

I do not top trees as it creates stress and large wounds that attract pests and disease. Topping leads to weak, unstable regrowth and ruins the tree's natural shape.
FRUIT TREES
My style of fruit tree pruning keeps your trees producing fruit while maintaining a more natural appearance.

There are two seasons for pruning fruit trees:

The winter dormant season for major pruning of Apples, Pears, Figs, etc.

Early summer for stone fruit trees such as cherries and plums as well as light pruning of all fruit trees.

You can also ask me about kelp and beneficial bacteria foliage spray and soil amendment to promote health and immunity.
ORNAMENTAL TREES AND SHRUBS
I use almost exclusively hand tools to enhance the natural beauty of trees and shrubs making precision cuts that keep your ornamentals healthy and vibrant.

I do not use motorized hedge trimmers. Beyond making shrubs look unnatural, the randomized cuts can cause the outer foliage to get overly dense causing the inner canopy to die due to lack of light.

I also love to restore trees and shrubs which have been sheared in the past to their natural form.
